How Can I Contribute?
There are many ways to contribute to the SCFB Foundation. The easiest way for Sangamon County Farm Bureau members is to add the donation to your membership dues renewal when you receive it in the mail. We are also happy to receive contributions in cash or through endowments, bequests, trusts, covenants, gifts, or legacies. Donors may choose to make either a Restricted or an Unrestricted (General) contribution. You will receive a signed receipt once your contribution is received.
The Foundation Board will review proposed large donations, and any terms specified by the donor, to ensure that the donation will legitimately and substantially enhance the charitable programs of the Foundation and that any conditions associated with the donation can be met.
The SCFB Foundation is a charitable organization exempt from taxation under the US Code 501(c) 3. Donations to the Foundation are deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes to the extent provided by law. No goods or services will be provided in consideration for contributions.
Who Can Contribute?
Contributions are invited from individuals, Farm Bureau members, businesses, and organizations that see value in supporting the goals and programs of the Foundation. In addition, the Foundation receives, and welcomes, donations of land and assets from estates made through bequests, as well as charitable giving through life insurance.
